Gaia by Pikos Construction Update

Construction is progressing at Gaia by Pikos in Kangaroo Point, with several significant milestones achieved as the $620 million Brisbane riverfront development moves into its next phase of construction.

As 2026 begins, works have advanced across both Gaia towers, with basement excavation completed for Tower One and the first major concrete pour now complete.
More than 1,200 square metres of concrete was poured across a single week to form the first basement slab for Tower One, marking an important transition from excavation into structural construction.
Installation of the first double-storey precast columns within the Tower One basement is also underway as the building begins to take shape.

Across Tower Two, basement excavation continues and is progressing to schedule, with completion expected in February 2026.

The next major milestone for Gaia’s construction in Kangaroo Point will be the installation of the tower crane in March 2026, allowing basement and tower construction to continue throughout the year.

With construction progressing across the site, Gaia by Pikos remains on track for completion in Q2 2027.

Development Manager Chris Charlton provides an on-site update below, sharing the latest progress at Gaia and what’s next as construction continues.
